The e4score Vision:

e4score's vision is to enable and reward excellence - right the first time, every-time - and thereby drive non-value added costs ("waste") from the North American transportation and logistics market.

We are convinced that there is at least $50 billion in waste in the $500 billion North American transportation and logistics marketplace. In e4score, business partners can share information and business processes so that they can work better together. Our initial offering is a best-in-class truckload Carrier Profile Database, which enables shippers and brokers to continuously improve their carrier base to reduce risk, improve service, and reduce costs. Carriers who strive for excellence are rewarded by increased business opportunities with shippers who value their capabilities.

Passion for Green:

Reducing waste is not only good for your bottom line, it is good for our environment. Improved truck utilization reduces emissions and congestion, and extends the life of our highways and bridges. In e4score, carriers can post their empty lanes in the Lane Matching section for look-up by shippers. Also, e4score is the only Carrier Profile Database to include the carrier's EPA SmartWay score, so that shippers can quickly find those carriers that share their passion for protecting our environment.

Founder and President Bio:

Charles Irwin, Founder and President, was previously Director, Transportation for Unilever Home & Personal Care North America. At Unilever, he served in a variety of roles in R&D, Finance, Procurement, and finally Logistics Transportation. Over his 22-year career, he demonstrated a passion for value creation, with a focus on long-term supply chain and supplier relationship leadership. He led the transformation of the Transportation Department into a world-class organization focusing on strategy, process, and team-working. Chuck graduated from MIT with a BS and MS in Chemical Engineering.
