In the Customer Pick-Up (CPU) Management Module, Sellers will be able to create a CPU Program. Buyers (and their Private Fleets) can then search out Sellers with CPU Programs that meet the needs of the Buyer. The Buyer can then search out Ship Locations (for those Sellers) that fit into that Buyer's Private Fleet network, and then electronically submit a Request for CPU Lane Allowance Quotation. Agreed Allowances are stored and automatically adjusted for Fuel Adjustments or Performance Factors according to the Sellers CPU Allowance Formula. This module will be designed to meet the recommendations presented in the "Manufacture & Distributor Customer Pick-Up/Backhaul Fairness Statement" issued by the FMI and GMA in October 2003.
