The e4score Carrier Profile is comprised of a dozen Categories of information, divided into two sections - Basic and Advanced. The Advanced Section is exclusive to e4score. Key features are:
|
Every Carrier, Broker, Freight Forwarder, or Private Fleet that is an Authorized For-Hire Motor Carrier or Broker has a Basic Carrier Profile in e4score. Initially the Profile is created and maintained by e4score.com by uploading data monthly from the DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration MCMIS Census File and SAFER System databases, and from the EPA SmartWay database.
Any Carrier can "take over control" of their pre-populated profile at anytime for no-charge. Simply begin to Register and if there is a pre-populated Membership Account and Profile for your MC or DOT Number, e4score will e-mail you a temporary username and password.
After you log-in, you should first create new users and then delete the temporary username. You can then begin to benefit from your membership in e4score. Start by completing your Carrier Profile so that Shippers will find you right away. Then tell your Shipper customers that they can access your accurate and up-to-date Profile on e4score.
e4score recommends that you update your profile monthly. This resets the "Last Refresh Date", ensuring that your profile is included every-time a Shipper searches the Carrier Profile Database.
back to topCarriers can designate categories in the Advanced section of the Carrier Profile as Confidential. Shippers can view these categories only after requesting and receiving access from the carrier.
Shipper Access Management displays a list of shippers who have requested access for action by the carrier. Shippers that have been granted access are also displayed with the option to withdraw access. The carrier can download this list of hot prospects to their contact database for follow-up by their sales team.
back to topShippers and Brokers/Freight Forwarders need quick access to reliable information to instantly validate a carrier's credentials.
In e4score, shippers can easily look-up a Carrier Profile using the carrier's SCAC, MC Number, or DOT Number, and check Operating Authority, Safety Rating, and Insurance status. The shipper can also view the carrier's Operating Documents (Operating Authority, Insurance Certificates, and W-9 form). If the carrier has not yet posted their Op Docs, the shipper can instantly issue a request that they do so.
Even better, the shipper can save or print-down the date-stamped Profile and Operating Docs to prove due diligence. And, the carrier's docs are safe and secure; the e4score watermark prevents unauthorized use.
back to topShippers and Brokers/Freight Forwarders can search the e4score Carrier Profile Database using any of 25 search-fields (including empty lanes) to discover the "best-fit" carriers -- for a single-load, or for a bid-event. Criteria for repetitive searches can be saved for private (user-only) or global (all member-company users) re-use.
Search results are displayed in an easy-to-read table that can be sorted by the column headings. Clicking the company name displays their Carrier Profile. With another click, selected carriers can be added (or removed) from the shipper's private Preferred Carrier List, or sent an e-mail requesting that the carrier grant access to their confidential categories, post their Operating Documents, and/or complete/refresh their Carrier Profile. Or download the contact information and issue the Request-for-Pricing stage of your bid event.
After creating a Preferred Carrier List, the shipper can restrict database searches to their Preferred Carrier List. This powerful tool can increase tendering compliance, significantly reducing business risk.
back to topShippers and Brokers need carriers that not only meet their requirements, but also have capacity available on the shipper's under-resourced lanes. To meet this need, e4score offers Lane Matching.
Any Transportation Service Provider - carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and private fleets - can post (or upload) and edit unbalanced lanes regularly running empty. Lane matching is much more powerful than load matching; carriers can solve a systemic problem lane-by-lane, rather than load-by-load. Lanes are defined at the 3-digit zip or state level.
back to topThe e4score Preferred Carrier List is leading-edge. It is easy to create; simply upload the Excel template, or search the Carrier Profile Database and add selected carriers.
This powerful capability enables shippers, for the first time ever, to easily and inexpensively manage any number of preferred (or core) carriers. For example:
- Continuously upgrade your carrier portfolio. Search out and add new carriers with the potential to excel. Remove those that are not meeting your needs.
- Reduce risk. Regularly monitor the Carrier Alerts for Authority, Safety Rating, and Insurance status. Eliminate non-compliant tendering by restricting loads to carriers on your Preferred Carrier List.
- Improve carrier communications and drive improved performance. Download the contact information into Outlook and issue regular newsletters.
The Carrier Alert functionality allows the shipper to easily monitor carriers on their Preferred Carrier List for the following alert conditions:
- Last Revision Date: if Profile needs to be refreshed
- Authority Status: if inactive or revoked
- Safety Rating: if Conditional or Unsatisfactory
- Insurance Status: if expired or is below DOT requirement
Carriers in alert status are displayed in an easy-to-read table. With one click, you can remove selected carriers from your Preferred Carrier List, or issue an e-mail through e4score requesting that they correct the alert condition.
In addition, the shipper can select to receive a weekly email if any carriers on their Preferred Carrier List are in alert status. Click the link and you are in e4score correcting the problem.
back to topCarriers, do you know where you are better than (or worse than) your competition? Now you can. Use the exclusive e4score Compare My Profile feature to quickly and easily benchmark yourself to your selected competitive set (at least 10) on performance measures in the Carrier Profile used by shippers to select their preferred carriers.
You can then use this learning to drive continuous improvement - leverage your strengths and work to correct your weaknesses. Then, use Compare My Profile to track your progress and demonstrate it to your shipper customers.
back to tope4score.com offers several tools that enable carriers to target their customer development (sales) resource on the highest-potential shippers.
How? Easy. One click displays the shippers that have you on their Preferred Carrier List and chose to send you the "you've been added" e-mail. The list contains contact information and can be downloaded into Outlook or your CRM tool.
In addition, carriers can follow-up with shippers that expressed interest by issuing any request e-mail to the carrier.
